Bug Fixes and Global Leaderboard


Hello my wonderful subjects! The Code for a Cause x MicroJam has come to a close, so my first update has been released! I have addressed the bugs that were found in the initial release during the game jam and added a leaderboard to track your high scores! In the long term, I intend to turn this game into an incremental-style rogue-lite with different levels and turrets to unlock, but for now, here is the version that I had envisioned for the jam! 

Updates:

  • Added a Global Leaderboard for users to post their high scores

Changes:

  • Rebalanced enemy spawn curve so that the game is easier in the beginning, but difficulty continues to ramp up once player surpasses 9 minutes of play time
  • Turret upgrades have additional levels so that player doesn't achieve max stats at 6 minutes
  • Reduced the starting and maximum rate of fire
  • Reduced pierce chance gained per level
  • Increased base accuracy

Bug Fixes:

  • Turret no longer breaks when attempting to upgrade a stat above max
  • Enemies no longer clip through the barrier when shot during their attack animation
  • Enemies can no longer spawn in the walls where they cannot be hit
